Team Building & Creative Writing
Combining visual arts with improvised performance and writing exercises, teams were guided through a collaborative storytelling experience, culminating in making their own microfilms.
Street Art is a powerful new course instructed by professional letterer & illustrator Bella Whitcher. The course will unlock participants' unique signature to their graffiti art style with a very cool art kit and a huge panel to produce a major work for display. Course will cover lettering, abstract art as graffiti, colour theory, making unique stencils & theme expression. It is very hands-on and participants will work at their own pace with their own ideas to build the skills needed to create unforgettable street art. Panels will exhibit at the school before returning home for your own proud display. The art kits will be utilised for years to come! Heaps of fun. Make your mark!

This is an exciting new course we are offering at The Performance Workshop, culminating from Sarah Doyle's 15 years experience in screenwriting and film directing internationally, and five years of running filmmaking bootcamps and workshops nationally.
Filmmaking Fundamentals is open to all years. It comprises of writing and filming exercises, class collaboration in shooting scenes, and self-propelled play time with phone cameras to practice dynamic cinematography. By keeping the tools modern and simple, participants will learn about the different phases of creating a film, empowering them to see their vision to a finished project. Course covers story and theme selection, script writing and editing, casting, story-boarding, shot-listing, cinematography, directing actors and simple lighting, sound & editing techniques. We will cater for the special interests of participants, so please be sure to reach out and tell us what you are most excited to learn about!

Printmaking is an exciting medium that allows students to use their love of drawing and representation and learn about the use of editions in art making. Students will be encouraged to choose a subject matter that resonates with them, take that image and explore and push the boundaries of that image through printmaking processes, and grow their confidence in bold visual image-making.
Students will explore the theme through sketching and refine their subject matter using printmaking techniques. They will use lino tools and etching techniques, water-based mediums, collage (Chine colle), and blind printing. They will create a small series of finished artworks on high quality printmaking paper that represents the theme and their subject matter.
