Practical Skills ~ Dynamic Tape ~ Expert Direction
There's no role too small to bring your absolute all. Love, enthusiasm, chemistry, secrets: every character has a soul, every scene an arc.
As work picks up in Australia, onscreen excellence is paramount to your success as an actor. In a self-tape world it has never been more important to own your onscreen technique.
We believe practical skills for onscreen acting means working with a moving camera in a location that enhances your performance & tape. We approach our participants with thorough coaching and with a spirit of collaboration. We believe casting you in the right role is important and requires a robust database and knowledge of excellent contemporary TV and film scripts.
Our full-day workshop is a creative friendly and incredibly helpful way to keep the tools of your craft sharp. After careful casting we provide you with a comprehensive way to prepare for your scene so that you get the most out of the workshop. On the day we dive deep into embodying a character, analysing a scene and finding authenticity and connection under the pressure of an onset environment. We then send you your best take from our dynamic tape approach for you to then broadcast or study.
The Performance Workshop is contemporary professional and practical. No static camera, no traumatic belittling, no BS! You are under the direction of passionate experts who will make you a better actor and give you good tape.

If you would like to apply for funding, please email us with a short video or written reply expressing your interest.
Please register and pay your invoice within five days prior to the workshop so that we can make sure we cast you and get you your scene with ample time for us all to prepare. Payment secures your spot in the workshop, so we advise you do not delay, as spaces are limited. Unless otherwise confirmed between you and us, failure to pay on time will unfortunately mean you will lose your place in the workshop.
You are free to cancel with full refund if it is one week prior to the workshop. Cancellation within three to six days prior to the workshop will incur a $50 fee as it will be unlikely we will be able to recast your scene. If you cancel within 48 hours of the workshop, or fail to show up on the day, unfortunately there is no refund available.
Although this is very unlikely, in the case of our cancellation of the workshop, you will be issued a full refund.
